2006年5月13日，来自加拿大安大略的另类金属乐队Three Days Grace发行了第二张正式录音室专辑《One - X》。《One - X》在上市后首周的销量达到7万8千张，名列本周Billboard 200专辑榜第六位，创造了Three Days Grace专辑最高的单周销量纪录。Three Days Grace乐队的首张专辑是2003年7月发行的同名专辑《Three Days Grace》，首周仅排在Billboard 200专辑榜的第69位。但到目前为止，这张《Three Days Grace》的总销量已经达到了120万张。
在不到三年时间内，Three Days Grace在Billboard专辑榜中的排名有了极大的提升。销量的增减虽然不能代表音乐的优劣，但至少也从一个侧面反映出Three Days Grace在美国的人气是越来越旺的。与首张同名专辑《Three Days Grace》相比，这张《One - X》在音乐风格上其实并没有太多的创新，Three Days Grace依然踏实的做着他们所擅长的Alternative Metal。然而，再仔细听过整张专辑之后，我们会很明显的感觉到更加成熟的Three Days Grace做的音乐更加细致了，专辑中多首歌曲的旋律也比上张专辑中的作品更为流畅。在听完《Pain》，《Animal I Have Become》，《On My Own》以及《Get Out Alive》之后，我们都能切身体会到Three Days Grace的进步。另外，值得一提的是，Three Days Grace在本张《One - X》中加入了更多的柔情元素，这不仅使Three Days Grace这张新作给人整体上感觉更为丰富，同时也为乐队赢得了更多品位较为主流的大众歌迷的喜爱。或许只是巧合，Three Days Grace两张专辑都是选在了夏季发行。希望就向夏天的天气一样，Three Days Grace这支踏踏实实，一步一个脚印的年轻乐队能够再接再厉，越来越火.
