已经仔仔细细听了数十遍，过瘾啊！很完整，很流畅，是舒服。《dear bobbie》很特别。一个感觉很苍老的声音加上滑滑的吟唱。《You And Me And One Spotlight》《light up the sky》都是非常棒的精品。YC专辑的整体性再次体现出来。风格上面变化不大，比起《gifts and curse》纯情的呐喊或者《breathing》疯狂，专辑更强调稳定。更适合放在碟子里面，而不是打散到《now》或者《billboard》的大杂烩里。

整张专辑的概念是"Let's burn a hole so we can climb out of these paper walls in this empty house." (让我们烧一个洞 爬出布满纸墙的空房子) 最近很多乐队都在尝试不同风格 甚至有Good Charlotte的蹦级行为 对于期待了近3年的YC新专辑.这次的惊喜并不多 但是他们一直是很努力的乐队之一 我还记得那首感人至深 充满力量的"only one"和"Way away" 但毕竟2年里打着pop punk旗帜的乐队数量猛增 难免让人淡忘了YC 这次的Paper walls同样是概念专集 和上一张大红大的"OceanAvenue" 相比 少了EMO的吼叫和狂野 多了成熟历练的感觉 写实地将你我周遭发生的种种 以正面语词表态出来 没有愤慨怒骂 没有哀声叹气 这大概就是Yellowcard秉持的摇滚意念!

我是在cctv6的动感英语中的动感dj节目里看到kooks的《Naive》，我不敢相信我学了这么多年英语后还有我完全听不懂的英语歌曲！我也没想到会有人用《两杆大烟枪》的语气和腔调去唱流行乐。《Naive》是充满了新奇的歌，一个小孩用冲击力十足的英国口音在唱着他的世界。于是我找到了这张专辑。事实证明，冲动就是冲动，新奇永远不可能成为永恒。我听完后，第一个感觉就是希望赶快把这篇blog给写完。虽然我这个人在听歌方面还算包容，但kooks明显很不对头。整个专辑就一个感觉：乱。它里面所有的歌都是一个类型：kooks型。《Naive》还算不错，毕竟有我开始的感觉。但《Naive》放进专辑里面，我立刻就再也找不到它，因为我觉得每首歌都是《Naive》！。

这张专辑又一次深刻地说明了中文在现代音乐中的局限性。平仄的变化，多音节的组成使得它在表现rap，蓝调，rock方面有天生的缺陷。而张靓颖的声音却需要她使用中文去实现国际化，可以想象，她或者说是她的团队是不屑于让她去唱一些口水歌的。具体表现在这张专辑，一个典型的例子是<your song>，可以想象假如转成英文的，绝对可以成为天后级别的曲目。中文在开始和结束的部分的拖音和转折都需要受很大的限制，把每个字放平来唱，感到怪怪的。《dream party》可以说是一次成功的尝试，美中不足的是编曲似乎太简单了。《我们说好的〉像极了《这该死的爱》，可以说已经是张靓颖的一种特殊风格了。《我们在一起》才是现在华语女歌手的杀着：轻快，活泼，平易近人。总的来说。这是一张在尝试中的专辑。张靓颖的声音有很大的可塑性和弹性。也希望她的成绩越来越好。

8月的开始这几天，我反复地听这张专辑。相对于网络上“一如既往”的评价，我却觉得sum41的改变是扎扎实实存在的。因为在这张专辑里，我再也听不到《no reason》《welcome to hell》这种可以划入hardcore的极品了，更多的是类似于《noots》《some day》这样的纯净punk。也许找到家的Derick让这只男孩乐队更加多了些成熟。
